Our Hamsterley 6 mile page

Hamsterley 6 mile · 24 July 2022
It costs Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter a staggering £46,895.30 a year to heat their Benton Rehoming Centre and Claremont Road Arrivals Centre. They currently have 181 homes for the animals in their care between the two sites meaning each home costs £259.09 a year to heat. Can you help by making a donation to help us with their heating expenses?
In return for your (I assume) generous donations, a group of us will partake in a perilous 6 mile trek around the wilderness known as Hamsterley Forest. This may seem a simple task for those of you with working lungs and legs but for we office dwelling types, this is akin to a Bear Grylls Saharan yomp but more dangerous.
Whatever you can give, whether it's what you would usually spend on avocado's or skinny decaf soy almond venti grande macchiato latte's, the fluffy change that falls down the back of your sofa or the wad of banknotes that you hide in a shoebox, would be massively appreciated. Every penny you donate means more can be done to help rehome and look after these unfortunate animals. We're all hurt by the cost of living at the moment but these poor creatures can't do any overtime or exchange salmon for kippers, so they will be amongst the biggest casualties of the race to survive.
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page and for your donations.
