Story
Hannah and Liz are raising money for Pilgrims Hospices by taking on the Pilgrims Way Challenge on Saturday 10th June 2023 in memory of Hannah's mum who was cared for by the hospice at the end of her life. They will be walking 35km (21.7 miles) from Canterbury to Dover.
In 2006, Hannah's mum was diagnosed with Grade 3 Breast Cancer. After nearly 6 years in remission, she was diagnosed with very early stages secondary breast cancer in her bones, lung and liver in 2012 after a fluke MRI following a fall on the ice.
Whilst she continued to live a symptom free life following this diagnosis, in 2016 she found out her cancer had spread in her spine and he health began to deteriorate. From this moment on, the Pilgrims hospice managed her care so she could live as normal a life as possible until she sadly passed away in February of 2019.
We are raising money in her memory so that many more patients can continue to receive the same level of exceptional care that she did.
Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page and donating to help Pilgrims deliver skilled and compassionate end-of-life care, free of charge, to thousands of people in east Kent every year.Your support is appreciated and so important, thank you.
