Story
I work for the Yorkshire Bank and took part in this event last year. During which I sustained injuries that kept me off hiking and the gym (I know most people would be grateful but the gym was my passion) for 8 months.
I had an A&E visit a week after the hike, GP referral and on going podiatry and physiotherapy to help correct my issues.
After last years touching stories I decided I wanted to help again. However, soon after signing up my friends mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and placed in a hospice with only 18 beds. The stories from her care amazed me. The work they do is precious.
When training in scotland after just completing Ben Macdui my signal returned and I was informed my Nana had entered her end of life care. I decided I had to do this for her. Before I could get to her, she passed away. This hike is now in her memory.
The care given by these people is too amazing to ignore. Therefore I have vowed to make this my priority and raise at least £1,500.
Please help me get there!
