Story
There are some challenges which out there which have always sparked my interest and a marathon is one of them. What better place to do it than in my hometown, running (well, hopefully running) past familiar sites and people I love cheering me on. There is one figure missing from that group who would have been cheering the loudest, my Auntie Julie.
Last year, she unexpectedly passed away and the shock of this loss is still being felt be everyone who knew her. The care she received and the support my family was given from the staff at the University Hospital Southampton was second to none. Having worked there before I moved to Ireland, I know how caring, skilled and dedicated the staff who work there are.
So here I am, running a few miles to raise money for a place which supports so many - particularly when it is least expected. Give if you can and I hope to hear you cheering for me on the day - I'll need all the help I can get.
Thank you x
