Story
Since leaving Oldham NICU last November, we have accessed trauma therapy, attended messy play sessions and we’ve been welcomed with open arms into the SPOONs family support group.
As it’s Harlee’s first birthday this month, we have decided that we’d like to give back to this amazing charity who support families around Greater Manchester who have / had babies on NICU. Russ, Harlee, Rudy and I are going to walk 1000km which is around 621 miles, throughout the month of October, come rain or shine (or snow who knows with british weather) to raise some money. We understand that Christmas is around the corner, so please don’t feel as though you have to donate but I thought I’d share it incase anybody wants to help us on our mission, every penny helps as they say. We are going to make a donation of our own too.
✨ £10 will buy a welcome pack for new parents on a neonatal intensive care unit
✨ £25 will fund a community support group
✨ £60 will provide a parent with a trauma therapy session
We’d also like to personally say a huge thank you to everybody at SPOONs, for all of the support, love and care you have shown us over the last year. You guys are just fab 🤍
