Story
62 miles. One month. One important cause. 💙🧡
This October, I’m taking on the 62 miles challenge to raise money for Diabetes UK and to help support the 6 million people living with and affected by diabetes.
This challenge is particularly close to my heart because just over two years ago, my sister, Emily, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
I don’t think you can ever really understand how much a diagnosis like that changes things until you see someone you love go through it. There have been so many things for her to adjust to, so much to learn and, I’m sure, plenty of difficult days along the way.
But honestly, she has been incredible. ❤️
I’ve watched her deal with everything that’s been thrown at her, adapt to a completely new way of life and carry on with so much strength. She probably doesn’t realise just how proud of her I am, but she really is one of the biggest reasons I wanted to take on this challenge.
Diabetes UK supports the millions of people living with and affected by diabetes, helping people understand and manage their condition, providing support when it’s needed and funding vital research to help create a better future for everyone affected by diabetes.
Being able to raise money for a cause that has now become so personal to me makes taking on these 62 miles even more meaningful.
If you’re able to support me, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and mean so much to me personally. ❤️
And if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing this and helping spread a little more awareness of diabetes would mean just as much.
Here’s to 62 miles for my sister, for everyone living with diabetes, and for a cause that means so much to me. 💙🧡
Thank you for being part of my journey and for helping keep me going every mile of the way!! ❤️
