Story
On 26th February 2012 Lee and I welcomed our beautiful son, Harrison into the world. Just over 8 months later on 3rd November 2012 Harrison passed away at Great Ormond Street hospital.
Harrison spent the last 9 weeks of his life in intensive care at GOSH where he underwent open heart surgery in an attempt to mend a very poorly heart. During this time he was looked after by what can only be described as a group of utterly amazing medical professionals. Their care and attention towards Harrison was first class and they tried everything possible to fix him but unfortunately he was just too unwell and he passed away after an unbelievably brave fight.
During our time at Great Ormond Street, Lee and I were provided with accommodation so we could stay up in London with Harrison. This was invaluable to us as the thought of having to leave him there on his own was unthinkable. Our original fundraising target was £650, a conservative estimate of the accommodation costs for the time we were at GOSH.
We smashed that target very quickly and have currently raised in excess of £10,000. In our view, no amount of money can come close to repaying the care and attention Harrison received during his time at GOSH. It is a charity that, even despite the circumstances, did amazing things and cared for not only Harrison but Lee and I throughout his stay in hospital.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page - Lee and I are so grateful for your donations to Great Ormond Street Children's Charity in loving memory of our little man, Harrison.
