Story

Ysgol Harri Tudur, its staff and learners, are showing their solidarity with and support for the people of Ukraine by undertaking a sponsored static exercise bike ride. The aim is to cycle 1,746 miles, the distance between the school and the besieged city of Kyiv. We thank our learners and their families who have already contributed to our fundraising efforts through buying cakes and making donations in school. So far we have raised over £2,500, but we appeal to everyone in the local community to help us achieve this next goal. Funds raised will be added to our current total and then matched by the UK Government and sent to the Disasters Emergency Committee for distribution where it matters most.

  • £5 could provide a life saving meal for a family for a day
  • £10 could help supply first aid kits and essential medicines
  • £30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month
  • £50 could provide blankets for four families
  • £100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month

The school expects the cycle ride to take a number of weeks. Please give what you can and help the school make a difference to this incredibly important cause.

Mr Jones, Assistant Headteacher & Leader of Key Stage 5.
