Story
As a group, Harvest Youth girls are shutting off our screens to stand with Christian women and girls who face hidden and unseen persecution.
In many places girls are extremely vulnerable to abuse. Being poor with little education or opportunity is difficult enough, but being a Christian just adds another reason why certain girls become a target. In Egypt, up to 50 Christian girls are kidnapped each year and in Pakistan, as many as 700.
Open Doors restores hope, dignity and value to persecuted Christian women and girls through the provision of food and vital aid, persecution survival training and trauma counselling. Women like Aisha have faced violent persecution and abuse, but Open Doors has been able to provide her with trauma care. She says:
- "Because of the joy and encouragement I received, if it is possible, I would want all women who have gone through this trauma to attend. I am sure that just as I got peace in my heart, they will also experience it."
We are taking part in Blackout for these women and girls. Please sponsor us!
