Story

Hi,

Having been struck deeply by what happened to Roger Gower, a friend of my wife Bryony, I decided that I wanted to get involved in raising money to support the charity that was set up in Roger's name by his brothers Max and John.  The prospect of climbing Kilimanjaro is both daunting and exciting but most of all being done to try and do a little to help this great charity continue its work.

To understand a little about the charity please please watch this very short video about what happened to Roger and the work that is now being done in his name (sorry can't get the link to work):

Its about 2 minutes long and explains the charity far more eloquently than I ever could.   So far they have funded a school in Mpus Kutuk, which is in the middle of an elephant migration path, but this is only the start of it.

I can't recall ever asking for a donation apart from a sponsored swim in 1982 at Pontins Holiday Camp (It made the paper don't you know), so please if you can make a donation to help me raise some money for this extremely worthy cause I would be very grateful.   It's not going to be easy I'm told, so every penny will give me the encouragement I need to train and get up the bloody thing.   Thanks.
