For a while now we've been looking at supporting a local charity - Hunts Community Cancer Network (HCCN) - that is close to the hearts of both my wife and I when I stumbled across Prostate Cancer UK's Run a Marathon in January programme.

I thought this was a great idea and something that is certainly achievable (knees permitting).

So here I go, embarking on a journey that will see me (hopefully) run 26.2 miles throughout January - I'd love to do it in one hit...but I imagine it'll take a few weeks.

So, while it's a Prostate Cancer UK initiative (another charity close to my heart) I'll be raising money for both them and HCCN.
