I have been selected to be one of 20 volunteers to go to in February to help build three classrooms for a school in the northeast part of the country.

Our group from Turner Broadcasting will be working with Plan International to build the school. Plan believes that education is one of the most important ways to help people work their way out of poverty.

The trip organizers say wonderful things about Rwandans and their beautiful country, and I'm really looking forward to going there, meeting the people, and helping them -- if only in a small way -- move on from the genocide they experienced just 15 years ago.

Please help me reach my fundraising goal. The money is going to a terrific cause, and I can't wait to come back and tell you exactly how it was put to use and how much it was appreciated.
