Story
8 years ago I achieved a personal goal to run a Marathon in the fabulous city of Belfast. I have completed the Great North Run for 13 years and always fundraise for cancer research so this time I'm supporting my niece, Neve ( born in Belfast a week after my first marathon) who has had fantastic support from the Anaphylaxis Charity. Neve leads a fun, active and sociable life whilst managing her nut allergy thanks to the information and support offered by this charity.
The Anaphylaxis Campaign is the only UK wide charity solely focused on supporting people at risk of severe allergic reactions.Anaphylaxis (pronounced ana-fill-ax-is) is a severe and life-threatening allergic reaction that can be fatal. Severe symptoms such as a swollen tongue, difficulty breathing or becoming unconscious usually develop suddenly, often within minutes after being exposed to an allergy trigger such as a particular food, latex, insect stings or certain drugs.
I am training really hard and looking forward to running in London and your support would make such a difference. THANK YOU X
Well not long now. The marathon is only four weeks away so it's all downhill with the training now. Looking forward to the week before and all the carbing up😋 although to be honest I think I've started already 😅 thank you to everyone who has donated so far, I really appreciate it and I know your money will really make a difference to everyone who has severe allergies. If anyone else wants to donate that would be wonderful, I have got a sponsor form as well. But thank you to everyone who has supported me this far with all your words of encouragement. It really does help😘x
