Story
Sam and I am going #SUGARFREEFOREPILEPSY in November because I support children and adults on a Ketogenic Diet for Epilepsy!
Epilepsy has touched both of our life’s personally, you never know when it will strike and what affects it will have until you have to deal with it. I have had epilepsy since the age of 18 and have really struggled at times. My youngest son Gethin was diagnosed with epilepsy at 18 months and it impacted on everyone in the family. Unfortunately medicine wasn’t working fully for Gethin so the decision was made to try the ketogenic diet. Gethin has been on the diet nearly 6 months now and the change in him is amazing. Seizures are less frequent and severe. His attention is so much better he has some of his old spark back. It’s even helped with his ataxia, his balance has improved considerably. The diet has improved his quality of life significantly and given me my cheeky little boy back.
Sam’s son Seb;
Seb had his first epilepsy in August 2018. This condition takes your child’s life, you watch your child go from a happy go lucky child to an inward zombie. I never imagined the impact this horrid disease would bring to our family. I would of never be able to coupe if epilepsy UK hadn’t existed and with the help of Helen who could give us advice and a shoulder to cry on, which I am internally grateful for. Please help us to raise money for Children and Adults living with Epilepsy.
Please help us to raise awareness and support this wonderful charity, every little helps x
