Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. On Wednesday 20 July 2016 my partner Nick Birt and I had our heads shaved to support a charity called Cancer Hair Care in Stevenage. As many of you my friends know I've been receiving treatment for breast cancer since Jan 2016 by the amazing team under Mr Peter Crane at Welwyn Garden City QE2 hospital and Dr Shah at the Oncology Unit at Stevenage Lister hospital. I've had 4 operations, chemotherapy and am currently undergoing radiotherapy treatment.

My hair has now started to grow back and we are planning another fundraising event to raise funds for a local charity that has helped me. Cancer Hair Care Stevenage provides services for free to women who are undergoing chemotherapy. This includes hair care before, during and after hair loss, nail care and generally cake, coffee and support. They survive on contributions and provide their wonderful support service inc setting patients with hair loss up with scarves and head coverings totally free of charge. http://cancerhaircare.com/

Previous Story: As I'd started to lose my hair my dear partner Nick Birt and I decided to both have our hair clipped to a no 1 and wanted to try and raise some money for Cancer Hair Care through blatantly asking everyone we know (including you!) to give us a little sponsorship for this right of passage hair cut! (Most women will not have to have a no 1 cut in their life altho I've been led to believe it is very liberating... and indeed it is!).

Our good friend and neighbour and hairdresser extraordinaire Liam Brown performed this operation on us both on Wed 20 July at 8.30am and I'll keep sharing the photos!
