Our amazing London Marathon team are taking on 26.2 miles to raise funds to improve diagnosis and treatment, and to fund research into a cure.

Story

Having being diagnosed over 20 years ago with colitis, I am delighted to be running my 4th London Marathon (as I did last year’s virtual one too) in support of Crohn's & Colitis UK. I’m also running the London Landmarks half marathon on the 1st August.  There is no known cure and these chronic conditions can be unpredictable, lifelong and potentially life-threatening.  Running has always help alleviate my symptoms so it'll be great to know that when I pounding the streets for the many training miles to come and on both the big days, it's going to be for such a worthy cause.

Thank you for all your help and support - it is much appreciated!

The Virgin Money London Marathon is the worlds biggest one-day fundraising event. The incredible course and amazing atmosphere have established it as one of the World Marathon Majors and a must-do on many bucket-lists. Running against a backdrop of roaring crowds, our incredible team will take on 26.2 miles passing the most iconic landmarks in this beautiful city. Every penny raised from the 2020 & 2021 Virgin Money London Marathons will enable critical research, support and awareness about Crohn's and Colitis making a different to the thousands of people living with these lifelong conditions.
