Story
As community nurses our team provides nursing support in the community for people with a range of health needs, in their own home. A large part of our service is caring for those with palliative conditions. Marie Curie is a vital resource for us in helping deliver palliative care at home as it provides an overnight sitting service for families whose loved ones are dealing with terminal illnesses, and also for people who do not have family or friends available to stay with them when they are coming to the end of their life, which is heartbreaking. By supporting Marie Curie, you are ensuring there are qualified nurses and healthcare assistants available to be there for people in their time of need, to provide pain and symptom relief, personal assistance or simply be there to hold their hand. Thank you.
Our target is £1260 - this is the amount needed to cover a weeks worth of overnight Marie Curie visits 💛
We will be running the Helensburgh 10k on 5th May 7.30pm, for some of us it will be our first ever 10km, while others haven’t ran for many years, or are returning from injuries. We will continue to share our journeys and hope to see you there on the day to cheer us on!
