Adrian & Adrian's Skydive for Caitlin's adapted trike appeal

Lexi Heselwood is raising money for Children Today

Caitlin's appeal · 28 July 2022

We're leaping15,000ft out of plane to raise funds for an adapted trike for Caitlin who has a rare genetic condition called Prader-Willi Syndrome! All donations will go towards an adapted trike to help Caitlin to get the regular exercise she needs.

Story

Caitlin has Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) a rare and complex genetic condition that causes a range of physical symptoms, learning difficulties and behavioural challenges.

Caitlin's an amazing girl with a heart of gold but she has very complex needs. Her PWS causes a constant desire to eat, so she's prone to weight gain despite being on a very strict calorie controlled diet.

Caitlin was also diagnosed with scoliosis, caused by the PWS, in July 2021 and recently had an operation on her spine to try and help correct the curvature. Since her surgery, she's struggled with pain management and walking even short distances can be uncomfortable and painful, so she really needs this trike to get regular exercise.

We really want to be able to put her smile back on her face and help her get the exercise she needs and wants, to help her lose weight.
