Marette is running the London Marathon!

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
My name is Marette Penington and I am running the 2021 London Marathon for MS-UK.
My partner, Andrea, has lived with MS for 6 years now and I have watched her defy expectations to run 2 marathons (with many more planned). For her third race, I am getting off the sidelines and joining her to run for an amazing cause that is close to both of our hearts. MS-UK is a vitally important organization that I only wish that we knew about when Andrea was first diagnosed.
I’ve committed to raise £2,000 for MS-UK. They provide excellent services for people living with MS. When there is only so much your doctor can do for you it’s great to know that there are organizations that can help with information, counseling, emotional support, and so much more.
I’m super excited (and nervous) to run the full 26.2 miles around London this fall. Please help me reach my goal by making a contribution. No amount is too small!

MS-UK is a national charity dedicating to empowering people affected by multiple sclerosis to live happier and healthier lives. We are here for the 130,000 people that have MS, their family and carers. We work to improve the understanding of MS and provide support where it is needed most. Our services include our helpline providing information and emotional support, a national telephone counselling service and a bi-monthly magazine called New Pathways. Everything we do supports people to manage this incurable condition and increase their health and wellbeing.Every donation counts!£50 could pay for a telephone counselling session for someone struggling with their mental health, £200 is the cost of 10 complementary subscriptions to our New Pathways magazine for those who cannot afford it. £2,520 would help us support people through our national MS-UK helpline and web chat for a whole week. Any donation you can make, big or small, will help us sustain our all-important services.
