Story
Napoleon was found by a Carmarthenshire Cats Protection volunteer whilst she was in Llanelli trapping feral cats as part of our Trap, Neuter and Release program.
Although Napoleon was clearly not a feral cat he needed immediate medical attention. He was in a huge amount of pain: His right eye was so infected that it required removal. The infection was so severe that he required a course of antibiotics prior to the surgery.
Once his eye was removed and once the infection was completely under control, Napoleon required further surgery to complete his physical recovery. This poor cat has suffered horrific pain. Despite the volunteer who found Napoleon knocking on doors around where he was found and his appearance being extensively advertised by the branch, no owner has been found.
Napoleon is, understandably a nervous boy and will require a quiet understanding home, ideally as an only cat. He will require time and kindness but will have lots of love to give a patient owner in his new home.
He has recently moved from the veterinary surgery where he received excellent care and kindness from the staff, to a Cats Protection pen at a fosterer's house.
His veterinary treatment has been costly and we receive no government funding. We are a branch run by volunteers and so we are appealing to the public to spare just a couple of pounds, or whatever you can afford, to help with Napoleon's veterinary bill.
If we are lucky enough to receive over our target then any extra money will go to the care of other cats in the branch.
Thank you xx
