Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

For the past 21 years Nottingham and Notts Refugee Forum have been supporting asylum seekers and refugees who have fled their homelands  - Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Eritrea amongst others - because of war, civil strife, political or religious persecution. They arrive here traumatised not only by the experiences, but also the often treacherous journeys, and then the hostile asylum processes. The current crisis in Afghanistan has brought the tragedy and horror of this back onto our media and to our attention. No one chooses to be a refugee.

I have been a  volunteer with NNRF since 2017, and seen first hand the amazing work they do providing life-saving support, advice and friendship to asylum seekers and refugees in Nottingham, and helping them to rebuild their lives. I am hoping to raise much needed funds to help them continue. NNRF relies on income from the public, so any donation will be hugely appreciated both by me and the charity.
