My Mum was a strong, loyal, compassionate and active member of her community. In her retirement we used to joke about how she ever fitted in going to work! In the nine short weeks after diagnosis with a cruel disease, Mum received the most outstanding care at Compton Hospice. Mum was cared for with compassion, dignity and love. It was a home from home for Mum and for us as a family.

We promised Mum that we would repay the kindness and love shown to us, so this is the challenge. We will walk 'Home from Home', setting out from our current home in Buckinghamshire and walking the canal system from Wendover to Wolverhampton - taking six days to walk the 110 miles to Compton Hospice.
