Story
I'm challenging myself to run 30 miles over a month, to raise money and be a lifesaving ‘hero’ for people with blood cancer.
For those that know me, you will know, I DO NOT RUN, I’ve not exercised properly for over 6 years and for me ‘Gym’ is a bloke at work.
This is a massive challenge for me!
Many of you will already know, that my husband Garrys blood cancer has come back and he is presently having treatment for it, the aim being to get him ready for a donor stem cell transplant later this year.
Stem cell transplants can't stop because of the current coronavirus pandemic. Without financial support, stem cell donations could never make it to the patients who are counting on them to survive.
Anthony Nolan are taking immediate action to keep donated stem cells moving and to ensure cells get to patients who desperately need them.
Every £40 raised will facilitate another person to be added on to the register.
My ambition is to raise £200 to enable 5 new donors to become available.
If you are able to, please donate what you can, or share my page with your family and friends.
For anyone else up for the challenge, feel free to ‘virtually’ join me in supporting a fantastic cause,
I mean, a mile a day can’t be that hard can it!?! 🙄
