Ride + Stride is an annual event during which our supporters raise money for DHCT and for their own church by riding a bike or a horse or walking along the lanes and byways of Dorset to any number of our historic and interesting churches.

DHCT uses half the money raised (£84,632 in 2019) to fund vital repairs to roofs and windows while the other half is returned to nominated churches to help with their own maintenance. We also grant aid the provision of facilities such kitchenettes and lavatories so that our churches are more usable throughout the week for community activities.

We are planning projects at St Peter's to ensure the building remains safe and servicable for the future. This includes replacing the Vestry door, reapiring the water damaged floor in the Vestry and making provision for safe access to the tower. Your support of Ride & Stride 2021 will bring those projects closer to fruition.

As in previous years David Dunning will be making a journey on his bicycle, visiting churches in the Frome valley.
