World Big Dog Walk with PDSA
Campaign by PDSA (RCN 208217 & SC037585)
This September were urging dog owners and their four-legged friends to put their best paw forward and support our vital service by signing up to the Big Dog Walk Challenge.

Story

Thanks for your support with our World Big Dog Walk Challenge! Pets are part of the family. Our four-legged friends give unconditional love and are sometimes a person's only companion. They dont deserve to suffer through economic and social hardship. They cant help themselves. But we can with your help. PDSA is the UKs leading vet charity. Every year, the dedicated teams at our 48 Pet Hospitals work tirelessly to provide 2.7 million veterinary treatments including 440,000 preventative treatments. This helps over 470,000 much-loved pets and brings peace of mind to 300,000 owners. Due to the coronavirus pandemic PDSA are facing into a national crisis so they are urging dog owners from across the UK to help us raise vital funds and take part in the World Big Dog Walk.

At PDSA Huyton (one of the two PDSA hospitals in Liverpool) we have been working extremely hard throughout the pandemic to help as many poorly pets as possible. In August we did an average of 431 phone consultations every week dispensing life saving medications and professional advice to pets and owners in need of our help.

We are excited to get out on lots of walks with our own pets in September to raise money for PDSA so we can continue with our very important work.

We believe that all pets should have access to veterinary care – regardless of their owners’ financial situation. Over 100 years, we’ve helped more than 20 million sick and injured pets – providing life-saving vet care to more vulnerable pets than any other animal charity in the UK today.
