Story
Hello friends,
I’m in training for something a bit out of the ordinary – a HYROX singles event in Dublin on 15 November. It’s a whole new kind of challenge for me, and I’m taking it on to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
If you’d like to sponsor me, I’d be truly grateful. Any amount, big or small, makes a real difference and means the world.
So, what’s HYROX?
It’s an indoor fitness competition that mixes 8 kilometres of running with eight functional workout stations, alternating between the two. Here’s the line-up (each followed by a 1 km run):
• 1 km SkiErg
• 50 m Sled Push
• 50 m Sled Pull
• 80 m Burpee Broad Jumps
• 1 km Row Erg
• 200 m Kettlebell Farmer’s Carry
• 100 m Sandbag Lunges
• 100 Wall Balls
It’s tough, it’s sweaty, and it’s all for a fantastic cause. Thank you so much for any support – you’ll be helping me keep moving when the going gets tough!
