Story
As some of you already know Iain and I have signed up to take part in the British Heart Foundation Everest Base Camp Trek in memory of my dad Neale. My dad died at the age of 42 as a result of an unknown heart condition and I would love to help improve the support available to those suffering from a heart condition, including their friends and families.
Base Camp stands at a cool 5,357m above sea level so it's not just your average hike, especially for a pair of amateurs like us! The aim is to trek there over the course of 11 days but, if we're feeling particularly brave, we might even make it to the summit of Kalapatthar, a further 300m above sea level.
We need to raise a minimum of £3,750 each (£1,438 of which will cover the associated travel and accommodation costs) and we would really appreciate your support and donations, big or small - we know we can't do this on our own!
