Story

Hello Everyone,

I am now training to complete my second Marathon, this time in New York!   I am delighted to be running for a charity very close to my heart, The Caron Keating Foundation.  I have been involved with the charity since Caron lost her battle with breast cancer in 2004 and have the pleasure of looking after the charity's bank account.  Since my Mum successfully fought both breast and bowel cancer, this has been a cause I am very passionate about.

The Caron Keating Foundation is family run with no expenses except from one part time secretary. This is administered by Caron's mother, broadcaster Gloria Hunniford, the charity then gives one off grants to support all types of cancer projects right across the UK.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Caron Keating Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

All your donations and sponsorships will be greatly received by both me and the Foundation.

I will keep you updated on my progress,

Iain

"PS.  A personal message from Gloria Hunniford:

We all wish Iain every success in the New York Marathon.  He is very supportive in every sense to Caron's Foundation and we are thrilled that he is running the Marathon on our behalf.  I do hope you will support his efforts".
