Fundraising for Swansea Mind
Story
On the 28th of August 2022 I will be running a self supported 50 kilometre race around my home town of Swansea.
I am doing this in memory of a friend who passed away suddenly late this year.
My aims are
. To run 50km round my local area
. To raise £500 for the local Swansea Mind charity
. To raise awareness of and show support towards Mental Health
. Inspire and encourage my friends and family to join in along the way if they wish to
. Bring together the wider supportive community that exists around us daily but sometimes we forget about
. Be a positive and supportive example to others around me
Lets be honest no one is impervious to experiencing Mental Health struggles at different times of our life’s for different reasons.
They can manifest in many shapes and forms, it’s important to recognise these changes in ourselves as well as others.
If you are in a position to be supportive to yourself and others around you in these hard times be grateful for that, then be as Supportive as you can be!
