Ian worked in the entertainment industry for most of his life. Starting his career in the prop department at the Palladium and then working for ABC, Westward and Thames Television.  Some of his ex colleagues are not as lucky as he was and are alone in their old age facing financial uncertainty. It would make him smile to know he was helping them in a small way.
