As a charity, Friends of Tameside Young Carers raise funds to give the young people treats and trips throughout the year, which otherwise they wouldn't experience. Past activities have been trips to the zoo, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the Christmas panto, small gifts at Christmas, and away days doing rafting, climbing and similar activities.
