Story
Hello friends
I’m very pleased and excited to say that I will be getting my Moses Kiptanui on and running the London Marathon next year. It’s been an ambition of mine since I was a kid and I’m honoured I will be running it on behalf of a great cause, mental health charity Mind.
Mental illness is an issue that has been a constant in my life. I’ve seen people very close to me struggle with depression. I first became aware of my own mental health issues when I was 19. I underwent counseling for depression and anxiety for two years. It’s been on and off since then, but running is the way that I have found best manages my mental health.
The Mind charity helps to highlight how widespread depression is and provides counselling services to people who need help. Donating to them is money well spent I think. Donating money now will mean they can put your cash to good use straight away, and your support will keep my spirits up during the long winter training sessions to come.
And before you bring it up, I know that Chilean miner has made it look dead easy by completing one despite being 50ft underground for 2 months, but it is harder than he made it look!
Thanks in advance for your support
Imran
