As a team we are fundraising for our local charity of choice Derian House. Derian House is an amazing charity that supports children and their families across the North West. Our Inscape team will consist of 6 lycra-clad amateurs attempting to cycle from the West to the East Coast, taking in the Way of the Roses cycle route along the way. The Way of the Roses is one of Great Britain's coast-to-coast, long-distance cycle routes, based on minor roads, disused railway lines and specially constructed cycle paths. It lies entirely within the counties of Lancashire and Yorkshire, crossing the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Wolds in the north of England. At 170 miles long, it poses quite a challenge with some hard climbs—the highest point being over 1,312 feet (400 m), which the team have been practicing weekly, checking those gel cushions work. Derian House helps children and young people, whose lives are too short, to make happy memories in an environment of fun, respect and above all, high quality care. They provide respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 children and young people across the North West. Derian House is a charity close to our hearts which we are proud to be fundraising for. Please help us to raise funds for Derian House, we really appreciate your support.
