Story
Dear all,
A little over a month from now, a team of work colleagues and I will participate in the Oxfam Trailwalker Hong Kong 2008 event, which will to be held on November 7 - 9, 2008. Oxfam Trailwalker is one of the largest fundraising sporting events in Hong Kong. Formerly called "Trailwalker", it was an endurance training exercise for soldiers. In 1986, Oxfam Hong Kong was invited to co-organise the event and in the same year the event was open to the public. Since 1986, more than 58,000 paticipants have raised over HK$270 million to support Oxfam's various poverty alleviation and emergency relief projects in Africa and Asia, including Hong Kong and the mainland . Oxfam Trailwalker is a challenging team event where a team of 4 need to complete the 100km MacLehose Trail within a 48-hour time limit! The members of our team are Ken Copland, Val Tsang, Chi Lam and myself. Our team goal is to raise a minimum of $70,000 HKD for Oxfam. All donations will go to Oxfam for aid development. For more information, please read up on Oxfam and the Trailwalker at http://www.oxfamtrailwalker.org.hk/en/home.html Thank you very much for your support (I definitely need it) and any donations that you make.
