I'm running the Barca marathon in memory of our dear friend Charlotte Marson who sadly passed away at the end of 2022 from Ovarian cancer. I'm looking to raise both awareness and finance for a charity which somewhat slips under the radar sadly for those unaffected.

There are 11 ovarian cancer-related deaths each day in the UK. It has such a high mortality rate because most women are diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer at the time of detection due to lack of consistent, screening. Shock horror: there is not enough cash from the government put into training to test for Ovarian cancer so it falls upon the general public to fundraise. Money raised through this page will specifically go towards training GPs to help improve early diagnosis, provide support networks for families affected, and as ever, fund life-changing research into treatment and testing.
