Hundreds of thousands of people affected by the awful fires in Israel are facing a miserable Chanukah. Tribe wants to help.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Many of you will have seen the devastation caused by fires in Israel last week and over the weekend. In addition to forests and woodland, many people in built-up areas have also been affected and have lost their homes and all of their possessions. The likely cause of some of these fires was natural, caused by the hot dry conditions locally, but many of them were also deliberately caused by arsonists, the result of a new phase of terrorism.

One of our members of Barnet Synagogue, Rachel Creeger, witnessed the events first-hand and her harrowing account of being evacuated during Friday night, is in the following link:

The Board of Management, together with Barnet Israel Group, have decided to launch an emergency appeal to support those people who have lost everything, to help rebuild their lives. We cannot take away the trauma they have been through, but we can offer financial support to help them replace their homes.
