Story

It’s a Singh Thing needs your help to roar us to fundraising success for Caudwell Children this Sunday 4th October 2020, running 26.2 miles for the Virtual London Marathon on our local streets. If you see us pop the horn and come join us.

It's a Singh Thing is about a group of friends (Ed -Hardeep,  Manjeet, and Humraaj) who all share the same middle name – Singh, coming together to raise vital cash for some of the most vulnerable children in society.

In the Punjabi language, Singh translates to Lion, and we hope you can help us roar our way to fundraising success for Caudwell Children who have supported over 50,000 disabled children and their families, over the last 20 years with 653 different conditions.

We will be so grateful for large or small donations towards us reaching our £7,500 target but whatever you can give will go a long way to supporting more disabled children who during COVID-19 have been significantly affected. For instance:

£25 - can provide a week of activity packs for families that are struggling to find a stimulating activity for disabled children

£50 - can go towards a Get Sensory relief pack that helps children diagnosed with autism and support their family struggling to deal with their child’s meltdowns.

£100 - can provide three weeks of ongoing support to one family in crisis from our Family Support team.

£250 - can provide ten families with dedicated autism workshop training so they can understand and manage their child autism
diagnosis better.

£500 - can provide a disabled child with a therapy tricycle who has mobility issues, to exercise in the brief times that they are able to leave the house.

Did you know that Disabled children do not always have the same opportunities as others and their families often experience more hardship.  And that it costs 3 times more to raise a disabled child as they grow, that 1 in 6 families with a disabled child go without food and 1 in 4 without heating?

How would you feel, knowing that you couldn’t provide the things a child you care about needs?  If you believe in a world where disabled children and their families have choice, opportunity, dignity and understanding, Support us by donating below.

This Sunday 4th October 2020, Help Us reach our target of £7,500 this year by sponsoring us for the Virtual London Marathon and donate to help MORE disabled children have the same opportunities as others and their families experience less hardship.
