Story
Caritas Diocese of Salford
''I went from being destitute and living in emergency accommodation, to getting a qualification with Caritas Salford and now succeeding in my university course.'' Former student Caritas Aspire helps asylum seekers and refugees, who have fled their countries, make Manchester their new home. We do this by providing high quality language lessons, delivered in a welcoming community environment, mentoring into further education and employment, and wrap-around wellbeing services. In this year of great challenge/need, we are asking you to walk, run, cycle (or anything else!) in the shoes of one of our students.
They travelled, often by foot, from their war-torn countries to the U.K. in search of a safe home and future for their family.
