They travelled, often by foot, from their war-torn countries to the U.K. in search of a safe home and future for their family.

- Eisa - Calais to Dover - 40 miles / 64 km
- Daniella Ukraine to Poland - 80 miles/ 130 km
- Karim Across the Mediterranean - 400 miles / 640 km
