Myself and 3 other family members are attempting to walk 46 miles in a single day for a range of charities. I am completing this walk to raise money for Bookmark on the 19^th June 2021.

What is Bookmark?

Bookmark is a charity helping children develop the reading skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. Bookmark wants to ensure every child can read, and their work has never been more important. The impact of COVID-19 has meant 380,000 children were stuck in lockdown without a single book, and there is an unprecedented number of children needing support. Even prior to school closures, eight children in an average class would leave primary school unable to read well.

Why Bookmark?

These funds could allow us to help more children with their reading at this critical time, so thank you! 

• £10 - Gift a child with a 1:1 Bookmark reading session
  
• £25 - Give a Bookmark magazine to 50 children to inspire reading at home
• £50 - Give a Bookmark magazine to 100 children to inspire reading at home
• £120 - Gift a child with a six week 1:1 Bookmark reading programme
• £250 - Inspire a child’s love of reading with a new Bookmark volunteer
• £360 - Support a child with a year of Bookmark reading programmes to build their skills and confidence
