Walking 300 km in June

300 Miles in 30 days · 1 June 2020 ·
I will be walking every day in June to support the Hospice Virtual Tour of Cumbria.
Staying local, I aim to walk at least 6 miles (15,000 steps) every day for 30 days to help raise much needed funds for the Hospice. This is equivalent to walking from home and back again to each of the Hospice shops in Wigton, Brampton and Penrith and to the Furniture Shop, Book Shop and Londsdale Street Shop in Carlisle approximately 180 miles or 300 km.
For almost 30 years the dedicated staff and volunteers of the Hospice have been providing an exceptional and vital range of free services to the people of Cumbria and southern Scotland. The Hospice is a charity and relies on fundraising and donations for 75% of its income. The Coronavirus lockdown has brought traditional community fundraising to an abrupt halt and the Hospice shops are temporarily closed.
Many of you will know someone who has benefited from the wonderful care provided by the Hospice. I hope you will consider supporting this challange and making a donation to help it continue its good work, now and in the future.
