We train amazing hearing dogs to transform the lives of deaf people

Story

For some unknown reason I have decided I can run more than 200m and will be running the London Marathon in 2018 in aid of the Hearing Dogs for Deaf people charity!

The Hearing Dogs charity work tirelessly to give a new lease of life to those affected by a loss of hearing. These amazing dogs help their owners with simple things that we take for granted everyday, like hearing your alarm clock, hearing the door bell ring or even the sound of the smoke alarm. Deafness does not just affect a person’s hearing. It is an invisible disability that isolates people from others. It can strip people of their confidence and destroy their sense of independence. When Jinga became part of my Aunty’s life, she not only became a friend, but gave her so much confidence, and has now become part of our family. Deafness can be a very isolating disability.

A hearing dog can give a deaf person a newfound sense of independence and confidence with their loyal companion and true friend at their side.

Please help support this wonderful charity in anyway you can, any donation big or small can make a massive difference. Even if the satisfaction of seeing me drag my feet for 26.2 miles, in excruciating pain isn’t enough, please help more dogs like Jinga get the training they need to change another person’s life!
