My work colleague, Alita, and I are virtually cycling a total of 1517 miles - the distance between Cheltenham and Kyiv, Ukraine to raise funds to help the millions of innocent people caught up in this terrible war. We will be cycling on the road and on the bike machine and logging the mileage as we go and have chosen The Ukraine Crisis Appeal run by The British Red Cross Society as our charity. Following the events in Ukraine, we have launched an emergency appeal. Communities are bearing the brunt of eight long years of conflict. We are very concerned about the recent intensification of fighting in eastern Ukraine over the past few days. Please donate today if you can. Even before recent developments, this is a conflict that hits people daily on personal, psychological and emotional level, bringing death, injury, separation from loved ones as well as the huge mental toll of ongoing violence and insecurity.
