I've lived on the London Marathon route for many years, so Marathon day has always been a celebration - though I've never run it myself. Last year, I finally ran out of excuses and got myself a place. 

I'm running for Well Child, a UK charity which helps sick children and their families. I'm lucky enough to have two healthy, happy little babies but I know that not everyone is so fortunate.    

To add a novel twist to my training, I've been pushing my daughter in her buggy. She absolutely loves this - she can voice her complaints and set out her many outlandish demands and I'm too out of breath to argue with her...
