Hi All

A couple of months ago in a moment of weakness/madness I agreed to do Stranraer 1/2 Marathon (Sat 5th June).

I haven't run since school (back in the 80s) and even then it was just chasing a football around a pitch or complusary cross-country (why always in winter as well?!?) so this will probably be easier said than done. However I will complete it even if it takes me all day and Jan's words of wisdom have been a constant support "....jeez what you moaning about, if Eddie Izzard can run 43 full ones I'm sure you can manage a wee 1/2 one...."!

Anyway I have hunted out my old gym gear and treated myself to a new pair of trainiers (yep...pretty sure the air bubble in my new Nike's will make all the difference) and apart from the nipple tape, am all set to go. However if I am going to put myself through all this pain I really feel it would be great if someone could at least benefit from it & that is where I need your help.

I have decided to run for the NSPCC - there are loads of kids out there that have not been as lucky as we or our children have been and it would be fantastic if in some small way we could help a wee bit. There are some horrendously vunerable children out there that need help and support so please please give your support in the way of a donation - however large or small - it all helps.
