As the cost-of-living crisis worsens for us all, the nations pets are finding themselves in need of the support offered by animal rescue charities more than ever before. At a time when outgoings on everything from heating and lighting the animal accommodation to veterinary fees continue to rise, the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) Clacton is aiming to raise funds to provide care to the rising influx of animal victims of the current predicament.
Recently, more and more owners are being forced to give up their pets due to financial problems as they simply cannot afford to give them the care they require or are being forced to move home themselves. Alongside other UK rescues, the NAWT Clacton has seen an increase in animals needing help, and at a time when our budget is already stretched there has also been an influx of dogs in the stray pounds desperately needing our help.
