Story

In September 2022, I'll be cycling further than I've ever cycled before to help the Bible Society meet physical and spiritual needs in Ukraine. Please help me and be a part of this!

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Bible Society teams have been working tirelessly to share God's message of love, hope and peace to the people across the region. One real shortage in people's needs are the words of scripture, which the traditional aid agencies aren't distributing and which people are desperate to hear.

Churches in Poland are asking for your help. They’re at the forefront of supporting the millions who have been forced to leave their homes in  Ukraine. The people they’re helping are bereaved, disorientated and needing to experience God’s word.

Churches support refugees every way they can, providing food, shelter,
and even language classes. An evangelical church in Warsaw has fed 5,000  people. But those people want more than food. In one day the church  handed out all its outreach booklets. Every psalter in an Orthodox  church in Krakow was given to refugees who have lost relatives and want  to follow the traditional 40 days of praying through the psalms.

Bibles and other Scripture-based resources are being provided to people who desperately need them, alongside humanitarian aid and pastoral care. Anatoliy, based in Ukraine, says, "We are sharing living bread and physical bread."

Due to the work they have been doing, the Bible Society team in Kyiv are being called The Angels of Kyiv by locals. Anatoliy added, "The Angels of Kyiv need the protection of heavenly angels." Whilst out distributing Bibles and aid, Anatoliy's car was hit by a bullet. But the team across the country continue to work under very difficult and  risky conditions.

In 2022, Bike for Bibles is supporting our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. Your donations and prayers will enable vital Bible-based work to continue in the most difficult of circumstances.

You can help reach people in Ukraine, as well as those escaping, with Gods love. Across Europe Bible Society teams are supporting Ukrainians who have left their homes with nothing, providing scriptures, humanitarian aid and emotional support to those who need it most.

Together, we can help to change lives for good.

Thank you.
