Greetings Young Warriors! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’ve always wanted to do something physically challenging in aid of a good cause, but always managed to find an excuse to put it off. Having lost my mum 7yrs ago and becoming a father 4yrs ago, my life has changed quite considerably! Now there’s no reason to say no. Being asked by CHAS to take part in this Sahara challenge and help raise funds for such a worthwhile cause is a real honour, and the reason to say YES. 

On the 31st October this year I’ll fly out to Morocco with team CHAS and transfer to M’hamid, the gateway to the Sahara! Our challenge is to trek for four days through this ever-changing landscape and to climb to the top of the massive Chegaga Dunes. The days will be tough, particularly walking long distances on sand each day! It’s not going to be a walk in the park.

This week in Scotland, three children will die because of a life-shortening condition. Only one of those families will receive the support they deserve. Your donation will help CHAS reach every family in Scotland. The families who use CHAS services know too well that life is too short, as their babies are born with life-shortening conditions meaning they are unlikely to reach adulthood. As a father I can’t even imagine how difficult and unfair that might seem. I want to help families make the most of the short time they have together. Your donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated by all at CHAS and the families it helps.
