Thomas was a fit & well 8 year old boy, until January 2018 when he was diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) a rare, genetic & terminal brain disease. It slowly destroyed the protective outer core of the nerves in his brain, reducing him to a vegetative state in less than a year. In June this year, Thomas died peacefully in Ty Hafan. 

I can’t emphasise enough how important this place is. The care, compassion, support we received were 2nd to none from the start to the end of Thomas’ journey.
