Story

I like a challenge.  And a few years ago I realised I wasn't a very good swimmer any more.  I could only swim 2 lengths of the pool and it felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest when I did.  And I wanted to improve that.  So I set myself the target of training to swim 2 miles.

After a year of training, 36 miles in the pool and open water, books read, instagram feed full of swimming tips, 3 pairs of goggle, and a new wetsuit I'm ready for the challenge.

I'm swimming in the memory of our close family friend Stuart Taylor who succumbed to MS almost 20 years ago.  We holidayed with him and his family many times.  And he was a rock to our family and me when my mum died.  He was the funniest man I'll ever know and I was proud to be the stick to his balloon (his words) as a comedy double act.  The memories of him have driven me through a couple more laps when I needed it.  I still miss him terribly.

All support greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Jamie
